Keeproom · last updated 28 July 2026

Keeproom collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Your journal — including everything the AI remembers about you — stays in Keeproom's own storage on your iPhone. We have no way to read it, and neither does anyone else.

What we collect

Nothing. Keeproom has no sign-up, collects no personal information, and contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting software of any kind. There is no third-party code in the app that could collect anything on our behalf.

Where your writing lives

Entries, voice transcripts, moods, tags and the memory notes Keeproom keeps are stored only in the app's private container on your device, protected by iOS's own file encryption. If you turn on Face ID in Settings, opening the app requires it.

How the AI works

Keeproom's reflections are generated by Apple's on-device foundation model, which runs entirely on your iPhone. Your entries are never uploaded for processing — not to us, not to Apple, not to any AI provider. This is why reflections need an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, and why they keep working in airplane mode.

Voice entries

Speech is transcribed on-device using iOS's offline speech recognition. Keeproom requires on-device transcription and will refuse to record rather than send audio to a server. Audio is not saved: only the text you see is kept, and only once you save the entry.

Sharing and export

Nothing is shared automatically. If you use Export, the file goes wherever you send it — that transfer is yours, and this policy no longer covers it. The same applies to anything you copy out of the app.

Deleting your data

Delete an entry or a memory note in the app and it is gone. Deleting Keeproom removes everything it stored, permanently. Because there is no server, there is no copy for us to delete and no request for you to make.

Please note: the flip side of storing nothing remotely is that we cannot recover your journal if you lose your device. Export periodically if your writing matters to you.

Children

Keeproom is rated 9+ and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Should Keeproom ever gain a feature that transmits data — optional encrypted backup, for instance — it will be opt-in, described here first, and off by default.
